Undaunted by what passes for inclement weather here in SoCal, the monarch caterpillars are beginning to boom at the arboretum.
Their peak season here will last through December or January, or till the milkweed runs out.

They are such voracious eaters! Such pretty caterpillars.
ReplyDeleteWe raised about 80 monarchs from eggs this year. My kids never seem to get tired of watching their life cycle and helping release the butterflies!
